It began with a meeting between Philippe Monnoyeur, CEO of the group and 31-year-old sailor Benjamin Ferré, foal of the legendary Jean Le Cam.
The pair found common values: sharing, ambition and humanity. For more than a century, the Monnoyeur’s teams have handed down their expertise to younger generations, helping them respond to customers’ ever-evolving challenges.
This is why Monnoyeur decided to support Ferré in a four-year sponsorship programme. A major objective is to support him in the 2024 Vendée Globe, beginning with the Vendée Arctique in June, the Route du Rhum in November, and the subsequent qualifying races. He will sail with the group’s new identity proudly displayed on the hull and sails, accompanied by the DUO for a JOB association, which connects young people from diverse backgrounds and refugees actively seeking employment with mentors.

Benjamin Ferré: the skipper
Benjamin Ferré, 31, immerses you into an impressive universe: ocean racing. To say the least, this is not his first challenge: 40,000 kms hitchhiking around the globe, an Atlantic crossing on a sailboat using a sextant (without GPS) and the stars as a guide, a crossing of Morocco in a 4L and a single-handed offshore race in the 2019 Mini Transat.
Benjamin Ferré is a sailor and entrepreneur from Brittany, in love with life… and with crazy challenges!
On the programme for the next four years is a succession of legendary races such as the Transat Jacques Vabre and the Route du Rhum before reaching the ultimate dream, the XXL ocean race, for its 10th edition in 2024: the Vendée Globe.

Vendée Globe 2024
The Vendée Globe 2024, ocean sailing’s flagship event, promises to be an exceptional maritime adventure. This single-handed, non-stop, non-assisted race brings together the world’s most daring sailors, ready to defy the elements and cross the most hostile oceans. The skippers, aboard high-tech monohulls, will leave Les Sables-d’Olonne for a solo around the world race of 24,000 nautical miles.
The Vendée Globe 2024 is much more than just a sailing competition; it is a human and technical challenge that arouses admiration and passion among spectators from all over the world. This edition, the 10th of its kind, promises to be a spectacle of courage, determination and maritime skills, with a start on 10 November 2024, where each skipper will have to face solitude, storms and the immensity of the oceans to hope to return triumphant to Les Sables-d’Olonne.
