End of the Transat CIC for Benjamin Ferré
Some news from our skipper Benjamin Ferré, who unfortunately had to bring his race – The Transat CIC – to a premature end following a series of incidents (major water ingress as well as damage to the keel system) on the boat Monnoyeur – DUO for a JOB. Admittedly, it’s a disappointment, but in the ocean of challenges that solo sailing represents, these obstacles are part of the adventure.
After 5 days of racing, the nearest port to welcome him was Horta in the Azores, where his shore crew quickly joined him. The boat is currently undergoing repairs in Horta to enable it to set sail again in the best possible conditions, as far as Port la Forêt, ready to face the next challenges.
After this misadventure linked to the risks of ocean racing, our determination remains intact, we’re looking to the future and we’re more motivated than ever to support him in achieving this year’s goal: the Vendée Globe 2024!
Going further together!
